The following is an overview of suggested supports for schools. This list was part of a discussion paper developed by CAP for Human Resources Development Canada. Refer to other sections of this Internet essay for elaboration of the points relating to other agencies.
Support from School Districts
School districts can support their schools in their readiness efforts by:

implementing a comprehensive policy on readinessv
providing staff development funds and staff support at the district levelv
supporting the integration of preschool and after school programs with regular school programsv
providing release time for teachers to meet with preschool staffv
