Restorative  Justice:   Alternatives  to 
Suspension  and  Incarceration

Restorative justice approaches can be applied in the school and community settings as alternatives to suspending students from school or incarcerating youth in institutions. This approach enables the young offender to offer restitution, while punishment is combined with rehabilitation services and opportunities to break out of the cycles of antisocial behaviour.
