Community-School  Programs

School-community coordination is essential to the prevention of crime and antisocial behaviours. Comprehensive programs that link the efforts of educators, professionals and agencies, community-based voluntary organizations, parents and youth can be very effective. School and community coordinated programs use a variety of coordinated interventions to prevent antisocial behaviour. Strategies include formal and informal instruction, maintaining a positive school environment, delivering and coordinating a range of support services and ensuring that the physical environment is safe.
