Local  Media   Involvement/Support

The local media in a community can be a significant ally in the prevention of antisocial behaviours and in school-community based health promotion. These locally-based media outlets include the local newspaper, the local radio station, the local cable/community television station, bulletins and newsletters from church, business, neighbourhood, cultural and parent organizations as well as electronic networks, freenets, web sites, and broadcast fax outlets.
